![]() Jasmine, our room, was very comfortable with a spacious, comfortable bed and quality bed linen.The only down side was the bathroom the shower is small (and we are not large) and the bath, although beautifully modern, takes an age to run and as soon as you slide down to soak you sit on the plug, which opens and then drains the bath. In 4 days we never met the owner but Suzanne who was "in charge" was more like a Mum/ devoted mother hen making sure that everything was more than alright from the moment when we arrived, serving tea and walnut loaf by the pool, to trying to sort out a faulty shower and providing chilling facilities for drinks. This is a lovely relaxed place to stay in a beautiful rural setting listen to the owls in the evening, barking foxes and maybe it was deer starting to rut, also calling out.It is a decent walk to the village pub between 15 to 30 minutes depending on how fast you walk and remember that by September you need a torch as there are no street lights at night so it is glorious to be able to watch the stars with no light pollution. The quality of the accommodation is far better than anything I saw when out in the coastal villages and there is place to park on the private driveway right outside the door. Fiona was a wonderful host, arranging dinner for me at one of the local pubs on arrival and making made-to-order breakfasts! This felt like a home away from home, the setting in the village is peaceful but conveniently placed within 15 min drive of all the seaside towns you would want to visit whilst in the area. The lounge and outdoor common areas provide places to relax other than the bedrooms, which for a single traveler is great as you are not confined to your room. This is a beautiful place to stay the bedrooms are extremely comfortable, spacious with large en-suite bathrooms and plenty of homely touches and upscale amenities. This was a superb find and offered two nights of quiet and very comfortable accommodation away from the hustle and bustle of the busy coastal tourist hotspots. I found Reeds Barn on an internet search looking for accommodation as part of a Norfolk road trip. Luxury accommodation with all the homely touches 2 years ago Pubs/restaurants were a short drive down country lanes (three horseshoes In Warham and The Chequers Inn in Binham) were highly recommended. Breakfast was personalised to our tastes and filling for the day with fruit freshly picked that morning. Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean and had all the things we needed including toiletries and amenities. After parking the car at the front of the property, We were greeted warmly by the Owner, Fiona, who instantly made us feel at home and relaxed. After deciding on a quiet and fairly local stay we chose Reeds Barn in Walsingham, a quiet and beautiful village with only 6 miles drive to the sea.
